Submissions to RFM are now open on a limited basis. For the time being, this will not be widely publicized. The publisher must work this into his current work load.
Material accepted will be published sporadically, but the author will be notified on acceptance when it will appear. Hopefully, before long RFM will be publishing on a regular basis, probably once per month.
Please read the updated guidelines before submitting. A few things have changed.

I enjoyed Rural Ficion magazine, was proud to have a couple of stories appear in it and am glad to see it is back.
Would you be helped by having a “reader” go through some submissions? I’ve never done it before but I wouldn’t mind trying. You tell what you’re looking for and I can see if submissions meet that standard.
I am willing to do this on a volunteer basis. The experience might help my writing.

Ed, Yes, that sounds like an interesting idea. I would like to try that. Let me see how we can work out the routing and admin stuff. I will get back with you soon. I think the title “contributing editor” is better than “reader” though.
