Support

You can support Rural Fiction Magazine (RFM) in several ways.

Obviously, the first form of support that comes to anyone’s mind is financial support. You can do this by making a donation through the link on the left to Buy Me a Coffee. The funds will be used to improve and upgrade RFM in many ways including search engine optimization, web design, software for graphics and communication, advertising, and many others.

However there are also other ways as well.

Another way to support RFM is to contribute something to be published. Of course, I will have to exercise editorial discretion over what is to be published, but the better your work is, the better the chance of it being published (don’t forget to check the submission guidelines for updates before you submit). The wider the variety of contributions, the more exposure the magazine receives. Don’t forget that RFM publishes not only stories and poems, but also reviews, interviews, articles, essays, and anything else that might be of interest to a rural audience.

You can also:

  • Share one (of more) of the stories or poems published here on social media.
  • Create a link from your website to one of the stories, poems, or pages here. Pingbacks help draw traffic to this magazine.
  • The most basic (and arguably the best and least expensive) form of publicity is by word of mouth. Tell people about RFM and why you like it.
  • Mention RFM in any comments you make on other websites or social media.
  • Create your own way of spreading the word about RFM. You are limited only by your imagination .
  • Finally, another way you can contribute is by submitting proposals for your works to be published. If in doubt, submit.
  • Follow RFM on Tumblr and Mastodon!

Check this page occasionally as I sporadically post updates and new ideas as they occur to me.

    1. I have not established an Instagram account yet for RFM, but I have for Twitter. Unfortunately, WordPress does not support interaction with Twitter since Elon Musk took over, so I can no longer have stories published automatically on Twitter/X like previously. WordPress does interact with Mastodon, so I am using it. I actually like its looks more than I did Twitter’s. However, Mastodon is still growning, therefore I do not have the audience there that I did on Twitter.
